  | Pietro Gagliardi

In 1968 Pietro Gagliardi established with three other partners an advertising company, now known as BGS, sharing with Barbella and Saffirio a long time creative responsibility, without despising other seemingly arid aspects of the job such as media, production and management.

Since 1968 the partners have been resorting to a different artist every year, as a source of solution for New Year's gifts to customers, inviting the artists to create an exclusive numbered and privately circulated edition of their work. The collection of works drew the interest of Turin's modern art gallery, GAM, which granted it a public exhibition.

Pietro Gagliardi's relationship with art was kindled significantly, rather than systematically, on different occasions, through initiatives, which always brought together his experience within the communication environment and his passion for art and its diffusion (From the Museums in Turin to the walls of the town - the latest pages of La Stampa newspaper being dedicated to the artists and the only instant art experiment with Ugo Nespolo, just to mention two instances).

  | Gagliari Art System

For someGAS has a somewhat metropolitan-modern-aggressive sort of sound, which however marks the gallery as one with its own physical space and which, for this very reason, could be perceived by most as a traditional gallery. However, Gagliardi Art System - the extended name of the company from which GAS derives - reveals - in giving up its creative synthesis - much more the intentions set by the birth of a new operator in the art world. The name not only implies the new establishing of an art gallery but also the birth of an entirely new system. A multiple approach to the very art system. The enjoyment as well as the production of art. GAS aims at providing for a new art gallery manager figure, embodying guarantor-friend-advisor-PR-guru (Pietro Gagliardi's passion for art cannot meet his being alien, so far, to this world) with a flurry of creativity, ideas, opportunities on which to attract the artists' attention, prompting them to an exchange of experiences, almost recreating a big medieval studio, but with more advanced tools of virtual contamination. It will attempt to be open in its choices - leaving out all preconceptions and prejudices - it will have a new type of communication (which will debut by testing an "exaggerated" communication project within the art gallery, conceived to be exported in other dimensions). Special attention will be also dedicated to young talents or to those who have not yet found a space among the anointed, in this respect, the years PG spent in BGS' creative peoples' forge have been a great deal encouraging.
