"From the beginning of the XX century, with Dadaism and Marcel Duchamp' heroic gestures the reflection on iconography and on themes concerning classic and modern art aesthetic becomes the core issue of many movements, from Pop Art to the strategies of Conceptual art.
Beyond the fact that tributes to past art have always been witnessed, even in the form of citations,
nowadays the approach to art history is intensified by an analytic, ironic, romantic and nostalgic outlook with all its paradoxes almost developing into a subtle conceptual game.
This exhibition features drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs and virtually all the expressive
mediums employed by late XX century artists.
This international exhibition aspires to create the most far-reaching anthology possible, a
dialogue among artists who not only belong to different generations but also to different cultures such as the Asiatic and the European ones."
